Dispute Management Systems
The John Paul Jones Group provides
consultation and design of dispute prevention, management and resolution
systems. The proliferation of protective statutes, the plethora
of lawsuits (especially in the employment field) and the rising
costs of litigation combine to make prevention and early management
of conflict a business necessity. The most effective prevention
for business and workplace disputes is the implementation of a dispute
management system (DMS).
Dispute Management System
Each DMS project begins with a thorough
assessment of client needs and objectives, the culture of the organization
and the availability of its resources. Based on that assessment
a DMS is designed. The Group then assists in the
implementation of the DMS, providing necessary training
and coaching to maximize the probability of success. The Group
remains available for monitoring the effectiveness of the system
to assure that the original measurable objectives are met.
Examples
The two most popular types of DMS are for employment issues and product liability matters.
- Employment may include determining the primary causes of repetitive conflict in the workplace including discrimination, ADA, harassment and other Title VII issues. If an organization is not effectively handling these issues,

- Product liability cases stem from a variety of causes, and a
